I carve, ink, and print everything by hand. It’s slow and messy and that’s where the magic happens. I think of it as rehoming when one leaves the studio because each one’s got its own quirks, and I want it to go somewhere it’ll be appreciated.

Hi, I'm Jo

Jo Pearson, aka Strangford, is a printmaker originally from South London, now living and making a mess on the scenic Ards Peninsula in Northern Ireland. Her work puts a quirky, colourful twist on relief and Riso printing, featuring animals that look like they’ve wandered in from a dream.
